It’s About That Time!

The month ended great because I got to listen to so many lectures about leadership and how to become a more solid leader. This subject put me on the path towards achieving greatness but it required brainpower. The brain must be fixed before starting any journey.

Like any apartment, the brain must be cleaned and polished. The first video I found, inspired me to do some brain research, it was a TED Talk by Daniel Amen on what he discovered by analyzing 83,000 brain scans.

I learned that the brain could be healed and fixed if treated right. This also made me think about our daily habits and patterns plus how they can be corrected if one puts in the work. I wanted to continue to strengthen my brain and so I looked for brain exercise videos and found a good one.

I tried a few of the exercises but I don’t know if they actually worked, then again it’s probably better to try them on a daily basis for better results. On a side note, exercise number 4 involves walnuts!

I then started to look for the most important part of the equation, the best types of food for the brain. I discovered something special. I need to start with the gut before I start with the brain. I learned a tremendous deal from the video below.

Basically, it boils down to SIBO (small intestine bacteria overgrowth) and the Candida fungus. Apparently, we get so clogged up that the food we eat, which may be beneficial for the brain, and its vitamins, don’t even reach our brain sometimes because our internal filters are dirty. This can provide instability for the brain which can cause an environment for certain conditions.

So it’s time to clean the gut and kill some bugs. It all starts with food, and I will put together a list for you in the next post, however, I’m still working on it. Meanwhile, I suggest starting with buying papaya, a fruit the tummy loves, stay tuned.
